Dr Janaki DeSilva has been a Doctor at Walloon Medical Centre for more than 10years with over 20years of experience as a medical practitioner. She completed both her GP training and fellowship in Australia. She has a very extensive background working at a number of major hospitals in Brisbane including the Mater Children’s , Mater Adult , Royal Brisbane, Caboolture , and the Prince Charles Hospital.
She has worked in cardiology, respiratory, orthopedics, palliative care, mental health, women’s health, paediatrics, geriatrics and Emergency units. Further she has had training in skin cancer and worked full time in a skin cancer clinic as well. Dr DeSilva finds being a GP is very rewarding and loves working in a rural community . She has a particular interest in elderly health,Paediatrics, antenatal and post-natal care, chronic disease management, skin checks and excisions. In her free time Dr DeSilva loves to travel, and spend time with her family.
